About the Role
The suitable candidate is expected to communicate nutrition-related health services to visitors and patients. He/she must possess good communication skills to assist company’s goal and gain more reach.
The Nutritionist is responsible for guest nutritional education via private consultations, workshops, group presentations and informal talks with guests. Actively participates in Nutrition program development and promotion of the Nutrition department.
• Responsible for planning overseeing and evaluating regional institutional or statewide health education
programs.
Assesses program needs.
• Develops a comprehensive educational program.
• Responds effectively and efficiently to the educational needs of the population being served.
• Interfaces effectively with peers and customers and assumes responsibility for continuous professional
development.
• In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.
Requirements
This position enhances community health center services and supports the mission to provide quality & compassionate services to our clients.
Conducts needs assessments, establishes priorities, designs, implements, and evaluates basic health education programs, protocols, and standards
Coordinates a wide range of health education services, including establishing effective referral and publicity systems, monitoring quality and documentation, providing scheduling and logistical support, and facilitating use of community services to promote the delivery of cost effective health education services.
Provides direct group or one-on-one health education services to members and the public.
Reviews, develops, and recommends high quality, culturally appropriate written and audio visual health education materials.
Consults with physicians and staff regarding related health education services.
Coordinates health information projects such as program catalogs, newsletter, informational displays and community health events.
Specializes in a specific area of health education (e.g. HIV nutrition, chronic disease, health promotion) as required.
Prepares reports, grants, proposals, and documentation as assigned.
Participates in establishing department strategic goals and priorities.
Other duties as assigned.
Experience: 4-5 years of industrial experience with other well-known healthcare firms will be preferable.
